Ben serves as a Youth Development and Performance Counselor, working closely alongside Joey Topel in our Youth Development Program. He plays a vital role in supporting Performance Therapy cases through collaborative efforts with our in-house therapist, mental health coaches, and the broader clinical team. Originally from Aventura, Florida, and a proud graduate of University School in Davie, Ben began his undergraduate studies at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He is currently completing his degree at Florida International University while also pursuing a counseling degree to deepen his expertise.

In his role at HTFT, Ben’s focus centers on mentorship, leadership, and accountability, providing youth athletes with structured guidance and compassionate emotional support to foster their personal and athletic growth. Alongside Joey Topel, Ben strives to support many youth athletes, addressing both their emotional well-being and athletic development. Additionally, he helps with behavioral work which directly impacts school performance, sports participation, family dynamics, and relationships with peers.

Drawing from his background in counseling and his expanding understanding of working with youth, adolescents, and families, Ben offers valuable insight that helps guide children through their life spaces. His approach integrates therapeutic principles and emotional regulation techniques, creating a supportive environment for young athletes to thrive.
