Ben Yogev
Youth Development Coach

Ben serves as a Youth Development Coach at HTFT, where he specializes in youth mentorship, leadership development, and performance coaching. Working closely with Joey Topel in our Youth Development Program, Ben helps implement Performance Therapy, HTFT’s integrative model that combines sport and performance training with therapeutic principles to support youth athletes both in competition and, more importantly, throughout the critical years of their personal development.

As part of HTFT’s interdisciplinary team, Ben collaborates with our therapists, mental performance coaches, and performance specialists to provide comprehensive support for youth athletes, young adults, and their families. His role focuses on fostering accountability, leadership, emotional awareness, resilience, and the daily habits that contribute to long term success both on and off the field.

Working alongside Joey Topel, Ben has played an active role in the development of athletes through team training, mentorship, leadership development, and Performance Therapy within the 305ers Football Program. This hands on experience has provided him with valuable opportunities to mentor athletes in both team and individual settings while reinforcing discipline, accountability, communication, confidence, and positive decision-making.

Beyond traditional coaching sessions, Ben may also provide extended mentorship services, including in home support, travel accompaniment, and multi-day youth development experiences when appropriate. These immersive opportunities allow athletes to receive consistent guidance, structure, accountability, and leadership in real-world environments while reinforcing the principles of Performance Therapy throughout their daily routines. Working collaboratively with the athlete, family, and the broader HTFT team, Ben helps create an environment that promotes personal responsibility, emotional growth, healthy decision-making, and lasting character development.

Originally from Aventura, Florida, and a graduate of University School in Davie, Ben began his undergraduate studies at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business before earning his bachelor’s degree from Florida International University. He plans to pursue graduate training in counseling to further expand his expertise in youth development, mental health, and family systems.

Ben is passionate about helping youth athletes and young adults develop confidence, discipline, resilience, leadership, and character during some of life’s most influential years. Alongside Joey Topel, he works with athletes as they navigate the challenges of adolescence and early adulthood, providing mentorship, accountability, and consistent guidance while supporting growth in areas that extend well beyond athletic performance, including academics, career preparation, family relationships, social development, emotional well being, and personal responsibility.

Driven by a genuine passion for serving youth, young adults, and families, Ben brings energy, empathy, consistency, and a strong commitment to mentorship. His coaching philosophy is rooted in trust, relationship building, and leading by example, creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment where athletes are challenged to grow into confident, resilient, and high character individuals prepared for success in sport, at home, in school, in their careers, and throughout life.
